I searched the posts and have not been able to find If anyone has bought leaf springs that gives you 3"lift and avoid the blocks? Also would like to know if there are ones that offer equal or better ride that OR stock leafs?
Thanks and sorry if this question has been asked before, but I have missed it.

Thanks OZ, but I forgot to mention that I also want to avoid the AAL. My bad! So far the only ones I have seen online, are the SkyJackers, but have no data as to how they ride or exactly how much lift is expected. Only says on their website that it depends on the trim of the truck.

From Headstrong's website: "These extra leafs are made specifically for the OME Dakar leaf packs and will raise the bed of your truck an additional 0.75"-1". With the AALs installed the spring rate is increased providing additional support for those carrying heavier loads on a regular basis."Two extra leafs made specifically for the CS047 leaf spring set that raises the spring height by 15mm and increases the spring rate for increased heavy load stability. - See more at:

the d29xl OME AAL is just an additional leaf that is designed to fit into the Dakar pack

EDIT : Geekhouse beat me to it

Thanks guys, but I don't really need the extra payload capacity cause I already have air bags for that. What I'm looking for, is a soft ride equal or better than stock but 3" higher than stock. I appreciate your responses.

Well, from your first post I was going to say AAL and Airbags with a spacer and cup, but this post states you have air bags and you want 3" lift with no change in ride from stock.
This tells me that you want a block.
I do not recommend a block, but I will tell you to add a 2" spacer below your airbag.
Most everyone here who has lifted their truck AND hauls a half ton from time to time will tell you that the higher center of gravity requires a little stiffer spring, aaaaand that an AAL is the most cost effective way to get it.
My own recommendation is that if you will be hauling or towing frequently that you use at least a 2" or 50mm rear shock so you don't kill anyone.
    Enjoy!
    unsubbed....

Thanks for the input, but as I mentioned, I don't want blocks. Also I already have the bilsteins 5100's for a 3-4" lift installed(different part #). So the only thing I'm lacking per say, is a set of leaf springs with the same spring ratio as the OEM OR but with a "deeper arc" to give me 3" of lift by themselves with no extra "add-ons". Once I find them and install them, then I would have to get the air bag cups as to not obstruct articulation. Don't know if I'm being clear?

So you want stock ride quality, with the ability to tow, 3" of lift, and you don't want to add a leaf to an OME Dakar spring pack?

Yes. I already have the air bags for towing. All I need, is stock ride or better, but three inches higher with no blocks or AAL.

A 3 leaf aal and a 1 inch block could get you close to 3" and probably be softer than dakars or expos.

Dakars will get you 2 1/2 if your leafs are still good, I got full 3"+ because my leafs were sagging. You can get the AAL for an additional 1" or retain lift with a cap...
