APB for Phil and Kaleo: BHLM at my place will be cramped for parking gents. Townhome with a garage full of toys, so we'd have to work outside which could be an issue since all the garages are facing the same courtyard. Just lettin ya know...:D

Idea: We disassemble them at Ivens and then Iven can bus us to my place to bake the lights...lmao! Well..sounded good:D

Question: You bake the lights to get them apart correct? Then you have to paint the insides and then reheat the lights to get them back together? So we would basically just be taking them out of the truck and then transporting them to my place for the bake separation and painting and put back together? I know...a lot of questions, but start answering!!!!...hehe

Sunday hopefully. If Iven lets us disassemble them at his pad, we'll go to my place to bake them. As well as some Toll House chocolate chip cookies...lol

If someone picks me up, I'll be free from school for a little while

I have some retro experience that is 100% irrelevant to what you guys are doing, so I can provide lots of no help and maybe some pompoms

I'd be down to possibly join in. Remove my lights and ride with someone to save parking. Or hell I'd drive. Don't matter

Yeah, Preheat oven. Remove screws from lights. Turn off oven. Leave lights in oven to soften sealant. remove from oven and pry apart. paint bezel. let paint dry. Reheat oven. Reassemble headlights and leave screws slightly loose. Place back in oven to soften sealant. Remove headlights and tighten screws fully.

I used some spring clamps for the reassembly process. Placed them in the oven with spring clamps in place where there were no screws to help seal them up. And I left them on when I tightened the screws and the whole time the headlights cooled down. Do not put lights on oven while it is on. And be careful prying them apart. The plastic is soft enough to warp while its hot.
I don't know if my place will be okay on Sunday. I have to detail my neighbors car...

Thanks for the info Iven. Yeah...I might have to reconsider the BHLM until another time. The logistics and parking is a nightmare. Lets say we all just do it at our own place this weekend and compare results afterward:D:D

Also, don't forget to line the oven rack with a piece of wood or cardboard. Don't let the housing touch any metal surface, it will melt.
