Mounting points for custom back rack

    About to start bending and cutting up some steel to fab up a back rack/sport rack. If you look up Body Armors sport rack, it'll be similar to that.

    What I'm debating is what to use as mounting points. I'm thinking the two bolts in the bottom of the bed, near the cab. Also, running angle iron down the length of the bedrail, bolting it down, and welding onto that. What'd ya think?

    That would probably be more sturdy and elliminate the section that usually sits on the bed rail

    Sturdy indeed. Im not worried about losing tie down points, because we will create new ones on the rack itself.
