Monday night after coaching I went out to my truck in a crazy thunderstorm. Had been pouring over an hour with crazy winds. When I got in my truck I noticed water dripping from the compass/temp area. Specifically the front driver side corner of the surround. The first time I hit my brakes I noticed water at the headliner/windshield area. This all happened while the truck was parked. I have not noticed any leaking while driving.

I did some research on here and have a few ideas:
    1) windshield leak? (Never been replaced to my knowledge)
    2) roof rack mounts? (No roof rack)
    3) antenna?
    4) 3rd brake light

But later today I noticed water in the storage compartment behind the driver side rear seat.

My question to y'all is what is the best bet for where the leak is coming from? Before I go to a dealer and have them look at it I'd like to have a decent idea of where to look for the problem. Again I did research some posts on here but nothing seems to match.

Depending on if you parked on an incline during the storm, which would account for water at both ends of the cab, my best guess is the roof seam. Those two black strips of plastic on top of the roof, underneath them is a raised seam where the body panels join. Wind driven rain makes it hard to know where to start. I'd check the windshield and rear window weatherstrip as well for any areas that may be cracked or compromised.

That may have been the case in the rear storage compartment but there was way too much water in the headliner for condensation.

The strips on the roof are my best guess. I took a quick look at the rear and didn't notice any issues. Hopefully rain has stopped for the week and I will get a good look at my truck this weekend.

What did you turn up? My compass appears to have been ruined by whatever was allowing moisture into my cab too (2006 Double Cab Tacoma) - I noticed a drip when I got in to plow one day this winter. I had the windshield replaced but that was years ago. I'm puzzled to say the least!

This still continues to be a problem. I am pretty confident the leak is towards the rear of the cab and any water I have seen at the front moved along the headliner until it escaped.

Just last night I noticed a lot of water behind the driver's side backseat. My best guess currently would be the strips on the roof or the back window.
