to many to list, check the build thread
tested out my hi lift jack base today, using 3/4 inch plywood it doesnt even budge, bow under the weight of the truck!! i put my base up on 2x4's just so i knew the entire load of the vehicle was pressing down on the wood base, so if it were to snap it would have done so in a safe manor [IMG]

held up great and was free!! now time to paint the 2 pieces of wood black and seal the hell out of them with outdoor polyurethane and be done with it

I've put on tons of Bed side decals and I have yet to see the bubbles magically disappear without the aid of an Exacto tip, but you may know something I'm not sure of..

I mainly got that jack for emergencies on the road and working on the truck around the house. I just feel safer using this and a floor jack is just too bulky to carry around. If you're creative enough, you can still lift from the sliders using one of the attachments. I don't wheel too heavy so it'll work fine for me.

I did an oil change yesterday along with a few other things in the garage. When everything was done I drove into town and did a few errands, came back home and went on with my day.

This morning I woke up out of a dead sleep at 5am and realized I forgot something "$!&%!"

I went out to the garage and opened the hood to see this:

    8F3840A6-77CC-4F53-93A9-D14936155934_zps_f8b8abd4030a6203a0ec382639eb4f13f65cfbed.jpg

My cut in half bottle sitting there with the oil from the oil filter still in it! I thought it would be all over the driveway or all over the engine but nope, didn`t spill a drop :D

At first glance I thought you forgot to put the filter on. I'm thinking "how the hell didn't you see and smell oil burning"

Yup. I drove in mud once in 5 years. I hate it too.

Mud is actually a very rare thing where I live. Hot and dry, from June to June, oven like, that's is where it's at. ;-)

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1400075458.886895.jpg installed an ABS kill switch in my 2013 taco. Great idea for people who play in the snow! Oh and at the same time I did the yellow wire mod. I recommend pulling the wire from the pin and not cutting it but just my OCD $.02.

It is a total PITA but it`s always standing between me and where I want to go. You're lucky you don't have to change your wheel bearings every 10,000 and spend hours with the pressure washer. :frusty:

Anyway I`ve used the hi-lift many times to just lift a tire or two to throw some logs under to get moving again in mud up to the frame rails. I would not have been able to get a bottle jack under in most of those instances. At least not without a snorkel and a shovel. :D

The 3M he is referring to is air release, has small channels for air to escape. Ive started using it for special jobs at work sometimes. You have just gotta be real careful with the knife method so as to not put slits in the vinyl that will show or worse hit the paint. Proper prep and using wet app method should always be used for bubble free application.

I did the same thing with a red Solo cup. Didn't spill a drop, but I only drove enough to park before remembering.
