    I guess you could.
I had vinyl installed first, and didn't like that it looked like I just slapped a big sticker on... (it wasn't perfect) so I opt for a XR piece. The fact that mine goes all the way down... I just got lucky choosing the vinyl first.

I think another option for you guys is just using PlastiDip and painting it yourselves. A couple a guys on XRU have done it.

Its pretty much a rubber coating that can be peeled off if needed.

    :(
im gonna let this thread go lol

    4 options
vinyl- take your time, flat black vinyl looks factory when properly applied

Good question... I also had the lower GrillCraft grille and would not fit with the XR bumper piece. When you install the XR valence, it makes the opening of the grille smaller... and the GrillCraft doesn't fit properly.

There are instructions on the GRILLCRAFT website on how to make it work... http://www.grillcraft.com/installs/install_detail.aspx?install_id=106
You'll have to cut into the cover.

I decided to go without it because I will probably recess the lower grille in the future. I'll be using the MX grille. :D

This isn't really that hard, as long as you're not expecting a giant peel-n-stick decal.

Use alot of water and get it roughly positioned. Work out the bubbles and fingers with your hands (I used a window tint hard card, but it creased in a few places. Worked better if i just used my hands). Give it a rough trim with a utility knife. Use a heat gun to get the vinyl flat along the edges and around the raised bumps on the bottom. Just hit it with the heat, and use a towel to smooth it out. The vinyl is decent quality and will stretch a good bit.

I was about to declare defeat, but using the heat gun allowed me to removed 95% of the imperfections. Good enough for government work.

It's not that hard, all you need is to take ur time and use a heat gun. No windex needed.
