30 and younger thread

I think the only thing I haven't gotten A's in are calculus and chemistry classes so far

Gen-ed's are a waste of time

 

Yep, I'm for sure getting 1 A this semester though.

Yep, I'm only taking them because that's all this college offers, except for the auto courses.

 

Ive gotten A's in all of the rec classes ive taken rock climbing, canyoneering and kayaking ftmfw!

 

the only fun things I get to do are labs

and even those aren't technically fun, Im just weird

synthesis is hard, but rewarding as fuck

 

I like labs, their not as boring as lecture and usually get out early

 

I like the lab I have this semester.

Yep, my auto lab starts at 9:00 and is supposed to go till 12:05, we usually get out by 10:15

 

I just wish I could decide on a major, right noe im kinda on my way to recreation management but not many of the careers that leads to interest me

 

I bounced around until last semester, the start of my 3rd semester of college before I solidified what I wanted to do...

 

I've found my major, I just gotta find a college that has those classes.

What are you thinking about? (white collar? blue collar?)

 

History teacher or electrician...

 

I sure as hell dont want to spend even a day in a cubicle but other than that I'm not sure. I might try and expand on what I do know and keep taking people climbing and stuff. I definately want to learn to weld and work on my (and possibly other peoples) truck.

 

They now need to make these for the Tacoma...

The job I'll be going for is auto body tech, a decent bit of welding, and a lot of wrenching on vehicles.

I love working on my truck but I dont think its something id want to do for a living. My uncle is a mechanic and now that hes getting older he doesnt like doing it anymore but is having a hard time moving to something else

 

Haha less pay, easier job and Summers off. Or almost twice the pay, more meticulous work, and no Summers off.

 

oh my god electrician if you can enjoy it and do it. Much higher demand, much higher pay, dont have to deal with little shits all day.

agreed. i like wrenching, but i couldnt do it for other people stuff.

I have quite a few friends who are auto techs, and a lot of them after a little while dont like it and regret going into that line of work.

Ahh, ok
My grandpa, uncle, and dad were all mechanics,good pay and benefits, but it can be hard work. The coolest thing about being a mechanic is that you get to build stuff, my grandpa built the biggest forklift on the San Diego docks (in the 70's), and they still use it today.

Do it for the children, and maybe be an electrician in the summer.
