So got my truck back finally a couple of hours ago :D:yay:
BUT the culprit(s) not only a fuel pump, but also, the ECM :confused:
should the ECM have gone out? unusual or not? truck has under 105k

Soooo a buddy just gave me a heads up on a clean, bone stock '01-'04 xtra cab TRD limited with 150k miles for $8k... seriously tempted to ditch my '07 Honda Fit for this. Whaddya think?? MPG drop for sure, but worth it?

Does the v6 have enough balls to pull my other Tacoma if I trailer it?

Oh great... a vehicle that can haul more shit to dump in my side yard

That's a sick deal. I wouldn't pass it up. Especially since it'll allow you to actual 4-wheel for the next 3 or 5 years

Oh, and Monte would be proud. So yeah, definitely do it.

Probably only if you SC it.
Your tacoma and trailer would have to be under 5K lbs.

I put the sway bar back on and realized that the driver side wheel bearings are going bad. I used the highlift to raise the front end and spun both wheels and both seemed relatively quiet. I only notice it when I'm driving and the grinding noise increases when I increase the speed I'm traveling. The noise is best heard in the cab and also seems like it quiets for a split second then comes back, kinda like everytime the wheel rotates

Anyone know the best route to go with repairing the bearings?

Should I try and find a used knuckle with everything already pressed in? Or should I buy the inner/ middle/ outer bearings and have the old bearings pressed out by a shop and the new ones pressed in? I've read this job is a pain because of the tools required.

Anyone else had to do this yet?

not a chance. I dont think it would be a very good DD honestly, considering you already have your truck/play toy. The fit is a better DD car, which is what you need it for. driving around lol. Only reason I would buy it for 8g would be to try and flip it.

This just showed up in my local Craigslist. I'd buy it but i already have one. Someone else can jump. http://greenbay.craigslist.org/cto/4471697107.html Called the kid and he said the previous owner mentioned something about Toyota putting a frame brace on it and spraying the underside. So you know it's rotting. with the frame recall in the northern states i'm sure this thing would be eligible for a new one before the deadline of i think 2016 on this one.
