Help with front dif oil change

I've searched and searched, but I can't find an answer on where the filler plug is located for the front differential on a 1995.5 Tacoma. I've seen pictures showing the drain and filler plugs, but it must be for a 2nd generation, since mine doesn't look like that. Also what size are the hex to remove the plugs. I need to buy a set I guess, since mine don't go as big as the one in the drain plug.

Thanks for the diagram.. That's just what I needed. It looks like I need to buy one of those little syringe pump things to get the fluid in that top hole.

The drain plug is a 12mm allen on early Tacomas. They changed to 10mm later (and in fact, if you buy a replacement plug for any year, it will come with a 10mm). No one has 12mm (I had to buy one special for this, it wasn't in any of my sets), so its a welcome change.

This is just a random questions, but why use an allen head bolt instead of a regular bolt with a normal bolt head?

Ive always wondered this and never really knew why.

 

I just used some tubing and a funnel. Ran it down through the engine compartment.

 

So you don't accidentally drain the front diff when trying to change the oil?
