cutting lanes is legal in some states/cities.

I fucking hate angry road rage driver. and people like that included. You lose all sense of judgement in a car because you feel invincible in a car. Its horrifying riding motorcycles because people are just fucking wacko.

It's a two way argument on splitting lanes.
People say bikers are the douche, and others say people in cars are idiots.
Everyday I see bikes split at 60-70 mph in slow moving traffic going around 20-30 mph.
Or when they are splitting at 10 over and some idiot decides to jump the double yellow into carpool and almost hit a bike.

 

When traffic is stopped or slowed it is safer to lane split than to stay at the back of the line. I am an active rider and do it all the time. That said these idiots doing it at 60+ mph while traffic is slow or stopped are intentionally being dangerous, and if they fuck up and crash they have no sympathy from me.

Cutting lanes is legal when traffic is the same direction, he was cutting the lane with oncoming traffic. As stated above, not sure, the actual laws where ever this is but it was a two lane road so there really isn't a lane to split. Either way, not sure the duvet over the truck is to blame here.

The news stated last night, the dog is in quarantine and will be euthanize in a few days. The mother didn't realize what happened until the father show her. The kid only got a couple of stitches.

I do this every time I go there. It seems dangerous. But it's actually not that bad. Just got to pay attention to people and know how to flow.

There is nothing codified with regard to lane splitting. The CHP does have general guidance though:

If you were to split at 35 mph, you wouldn't get a ticket for that. They may couch it it terms of unsafe or reckless driving. But there's no legal code that specifies what the speed of traffic or the splitter has to be to legally split lanes.
