    Hey man it sounds like you could use that 5th rim more than me so you take it thats not a problem. I'd probably just be interested in the 5th tire and i can just mount it on one of my old rims. I've already done the deed of shaving my calipers down a bit so i can make it work.

    Thanks Josh, that's pretty cool of you to do. This seems like a win-win for all of us.

    I sure hope this isn't something you feel you gotta do. Do it because you really don't need the rim man. I wouldn't have said anything about this had I known someone else was interested.

    For sure, I am not interested in the tire that is mounted on it. Maybe Monte will take it off for me and give it to you when you come get the others.

    There is plenty of room between the frame rails there (34-35" I think).

    With brackets or no? I read where some have just used straps to hold it and bolted the straps to the bed. The one with brackets would definitely hang down lower. Not sure how much tho.

    A drain cock also has to go at the lowerest point. Might be vulnerable. :notsure:

    Yea could do straps if ya want. The bracket I bet would only add 1/2 maybe. Could bolt it to the bed too. Would be less then a tire if ya did it to the bed.

    Also...Jerry cans my man. I want to show you my dads. Very very nice setup. Can holders are 4xinovations with metal cans super nice. Better then anything I can make in this time line. Not cheap though..something to look at. Ill get photos for you tomorrow of my dads

    I'm thinking that even gaining a 1/2" of extra clearance would be worth it.

    I never worried too much about dragging the spare over some rocks, but an air tank seems different. If you think It is solidly mountable without the brackets, it seems like that might be better for the clearance.

    I might have a line on some canadian scepters. Not sure yet. Would these be better?
