This heat....What the heck??

 

I just got back from the Bacara and that pool was oh, so inviting! (and the eye candy was nice)

 

I wouldn't be posting positive comments about that place around these parts.... Prepare for a royal flaming.

People around here don't like the bacara. Don't take there critisism peronally

Hmmm, I was just wondering why I'd get flamed since I was only there to view a space for a work event and I wanted to head down and see the pool I've seen in photos. I'm not a member, can't afford it and don't see the value (I don't have a wife and kids and there are less expensive gyms with pools), but if I was invited to go, then yes, I'd go. Y'all shouldn't assume things from a single comment from the new guy, but hey, I'm the n00b.

 

hahaha, dude, no hard feelings at all. we was joking. others have mentioned that place in the past and it only brings up bad memories for the locals of what once was and is now forever lost. It's just a sore subject for some of the guys who use to frequent the area before it got taken over.

 

Thanks for explaining. It has been there since I was at UCSB so I don't know the history of the place.

It's the internet. You can't take offense to anything. For all you know, I'm the infamous Nigerian Prince to whom people send their life savings with which I've recently secretly purchased Bacara and will tear it down to build a new palace.

 

I hear ya Timmy.....Personally, I'm against that place being there 100%.

Oh, I know about the spot where that would occur.... If you were not local, you were not surfing there. And if you did, you wish you hadn't gone.
Having said that, I'm not saying I agree with or condone the type of behavior that went on over there though.

There are some locals(born and raised here) and a few transplants who've embraced local culture, that are strongly opinionated when it comes to local polotics and land development in this area.
This can be a touchy subject for some and can stir up all kinds of opinions so I will just move on.

 

Possibly when helping someone install some uber nice parts on their truck?

 

Those grumpy old fucks have moved up the coast a few miles since they closed the dirt lot at haskells. 10 guys in the water, 5 guys on the beach drinking beer and hassling outsiders.

 

Anybody else going to wheels and waves on Sunday?

 

I'll be there. Mimosa in coffee cup.
