    Locking hubs, activate your 4wd..
Before you move your stick back, you need to click the two locking hubs in the front wheels... I'm sure there are some stuff on YouTube you can look up bro!

If you need 4wd you turn your hubs to lock position. Then with truck in park or neutral you engage into 4 hi or 4 low using inside shifter. Don't use 4wd on dry pavement. It is meant to be used either off road or in snow or when you get stuck in muddy terrain . Explanation should be on drivers visor. Also read owners manual. GL

I'll take manual hubs over auto hubs all day long. If you know you will be in mud you can lock in hubs before you enter. Don't have to engage inside vehicle until you need 4wd.lol

So what happens when I get aftermarket rims? What happens to the 4wd since my new rims won't have locking hubs? Also why is there a 4wd lever when I have to go outside the vehicle to engage 4wd?

You guys need to be nice...

I copied this from the other thread.

The locking hubs aren't part of the wheels, they just stick through them. BTW not all 6 lug wheels will fit. For example, my Ivan Stweart TRD rims will not fit over manual hubs. You just need to make sure the center of the wheel is a big enough diameter for the hubs to fit through.

They're pretty nice to have because without them your CVs spin all the time and wears out parts quicker since they are always in use. Just be sure if you need 4wd to lock them because just using the 4wd shifter and not locking them will still just be 2wd.

If you are ever confused as to how to operate your hubs, check the owners manual. They are very simple.

It is recomended to lock them once every month or so and drive around in 2WD a little so the front differential spins and gets lubricated.
