    Hiya Brady.

How'd the job interview go for Erica? Is your SIL still coming out there?

    Afternoon Susan.

Hey Rob. Her interview went as well as any interview I guess. They had a few more people to interview this week, but she should know by (hopefully) Wednesday or Thursday next week.
If her sister gets the job she put in for, she won't be coming out. But, we have daycare available we can put Levi in for now, and be able to take him when the time comes. It would be better in the long run for her sister to be here though (unfortunately...) because I do go on trips on occassion and it sounds like this job Erica went for could be a good amount of over time.

Hope she gets it man.

So, are you ever getting an actual aircraft to evaluate other people working on it. Or are you just gonna put together PowerPoint presentations and write memos so it looks like you actually have a job there? Or is this some strategic deception to focus attention away from what's really going on?

    Just curious. :p

    ;)

Well, if you really want to know....

Boeing will not allow us to put actual hands on aircraft at the Boeing facility unless we have the training from Boeing employees. We aren't expected to get that for a while. Now, I won't even be evaluating the PEOPLE doing the work, just how hard it is to do the work itself. Say we have a standard of "Can the aircraft be configured for a new cargo mission in <2 man-hrs?" I have to sit back and watch every time they change the configuration and determine if they did it from slick to cargo mission in that time frame. And then I have to determine if them doing it in 3 man hours is actually going to cause a problem for the aircraft when we go operational with it.

We have probably a few thousand data points we need to collect and sort through to get to the correct ideas before we take the aircraft to our testing in Kansas. I will not be hands on again, mainly because I will be a master by the time we get back to Kansas with it :D

One aircraft and two stripes later. ;) Pretty nice gig you got yourself.

Actually, you've peaked my interest with the cargo configuration piece. Do you have any links for releasable information on that? Is it going to be as finicky as the KC10? Or will we see the kind of cargo efficiency/flexibility as say comparing a C5 to the C17? I'm sincerely interested if there's any info publicly available.

Good ol' Queen Vic! That gets a :woot: :woot: ;)

Wondering if I'm gonna feel like sleeping any more today. The warm weather and sun has me only sleeping about 3.5 hrs during the day between shifts. :notsure: Two more nights to go this set.

And thinking I'd really like to have this.

There is some public info. I'll have to dig it up for you later. It'll be finicky like the 10 though....

That'd be cool, thank you. No rush, when you have the time. And I kind of figured it'd still be finicky, but a grumpy old man can try for optimism every so often ... seems I usually end up disappointed though. :( ;)

Weather is beautiful here, but we really need rain. Just sat out on the porch and split a glass of sweet tea with Bear. Sweet tea and ice coffee are our favorites. :D

Please, Vet told me it wouldn't hurt him in moderation. He's my best buddy; I talk to him as much as I do Kristi. And he's a better listener ... :anonymous:
