PS4 / Xbox One... Reviews in Progress

Just bought MGS for the PS4. Figured since it was a prequel it will tide me over for a week. I will say one thing. It is a showcase of what the PS4 is capable of and the game play is awesome.

Now my major gripe. This game should be a FREE DOWNLOAD DEMO because that is all it is. A demo. This in my opinion sets a bad president for future games. The only reason I bought it was they had it on sale at target for $15 with a $5 gift card. It's worth $10 and then watchdog comes out so I'll be good.

agreed, considering i have not once used my kinect. actually i havent used it for more than netflix in 2 months.

It was on sonys site about a month ago. They bought the rights to the ONE because sales are dying.

 

Wrong Microsoft's sales are hardly dying. That might be one of the silliest comment's I've heard. Now that they are going to sell one without kinect??? Wish I would have waited.

 

I'm seeing rumors that Both Next gen consoles Might be announcing the release of GTA 5 at next months E3. Out of curiosity if they offer the option to upgrade your existing copy to a next gen copy like they did for ghost and assassins creed for 10 bucks how many of you would do it?

 

I would do it if I still had a copy. That said... it's worth the $60 for it. The problem is..... destiny beta starts in July then the game comes out in September. I wont be playing GTV or pretty much anything else after that until The Division finally comes out.

A little over a week and watchdog comes out so that will hold me over until destiny beta.

I was going to buy my copy of watch Dogs Digitally off of xbox live but was interested in some of the additional features that stores were offering when you pre-ordered the game from them. I like to buy the games that I know i'm going to like digitally because while I am careful with disks some people aren't. any way's I was reading an article that made a brief mention of being able to pre-order digital Copies of games from GameStop. I was unaware that this could be done. So I ran down to the Local GameStop and low and behold the article was right! I wasn't sure how many people knew about this option and I'm sure most of you like to get your games as disks but for those that are interested I just wanted to throw it out there.

 

I pre-ordered a actual copy from Game Stop. I'm the king of trading shit in and got a good friend that works there. That's how I got the PS4 on release weekend without pre-ordering one. I'm going tomorrow to pick up a copy Wolfenstein tomorrow while I'm at work and play it for a week (since it has no multiplayer). I'll trade it in for Watchdog next week.

I made a huge mistake and bought a digital copy of Ghosts and now I'm fucking stuck with it. I'm so sick of COD and I can't get rid of it. I'll not make that mistake again. I will admit that I am enjoying Titanfall once again for about 30 mins at a time. But when Destiny comes out I'll trade Titanfall in for that.

 

yeah I'm kind of a game hoarder that way If its a game I'm sure I'm going to like I keep it cause I never know when I will want to play it again. I'm a big fan of the open world games like GTA, LA Noire, and Assassins Creed so I'm sure watch dogs will be a game I keep. I am also tired of COD which is why I haven't bought a new one since MW3. I have also been getting back into Titan Fall like you said though maybe 30 minutes at a time.

 

Yeah it seems that is my limit on competitive FPS now. It certainly isn't a bad game and have only gone negative once or twice and that is usually when I get dropped into the middle of a losing match. After about 30 mins of the same thing I'm done. It's funny, I used to be able to play for 8-10 hrs at a time. How sad is that??? lol

But like you, I enjoy the open world and I like the idea of dropping into someone's game to try to hack them and get away.

 

I tell you what I would like to see xbox do is give us the ability to take a game that we have and then tell us who else on our friends list has the same game. I have looked around for this feature but don't see it. I know they have the option to compare games but that is 1 person at a time and then you have to scroll through what seams like hundreds of games. I'm not sure if Sony has this ability or not but I think it would help online interactions if you could easily identify all of your friends that have the same game.
