Ahhh ok, I see what you're saying. Yeah, that wouldn't be difficult. I'm assuming this is better than boxing in the existing support so energy can be transferred back into the frame, rather than straight down?

    Yep exactly.
You are distributing the force across the side and top of the frame instead of just a lever on the side of the frame.

One last comment. I'm not sure how far you are into welding, but you really should be plating anywhere you are tying a tube to the frame rather than the tube welded directly to the frame. Our frames are basically just 2 ply sheet metal.

Today I did some things in preparation for my ARB and Superwinch. coming soon :D !!

Shifted the battery toward the fender wall
    [IMG]

Fabbed up a bracket for the Solenoid, used some aluminum sheet I had lying around. I had to move the airbag sensor down a bit to make room. The bracket attaches using the existing threaded holes where the airbag sensor once mounted
    [IMG]

still need to do the end cap mod, switch to the 883s, and do the wiring

All the critical points are plated, the only ones that aren't plated are gussets

Complete OME kit w/ 881's and dakars. All-Pro Sliders, CB, HAM Radio and various other minor stuff.
Just finished 1st day of wheeling with the tacoma. Almost rolled going down a steep hairpin, got the sliders hung up on some rocks and used the slider kickouts to help steer through some tight spots.

It was a great day :D

The one you posted doesn't extend on the top of the frame. I did mine like your drawing though and made the plate cover the top of the frame too

So did I screw up by mounting the cage this way? Or can I make up for it by plating as well?

Anyone know the denso or Bosch cross reference number for the tacoma walbro 190 lph pump? My pump gave out on the interstate. I'm trying to find a locally stocked solution. I still have my stock pump if needed for now.
