Well went shooting today, shot a watermelon and it just turned to mist.... All over my truck : / also took my sway bar off and tomorrow I'm finishing up my limb risers and mounting my 7 pin in the bumper. Limb risers are really cheap.... How cheap? Free for me:) I have some buddies in tool room and they happened to help me out with the supplies. Thanks to them. Also sliders should be welded on soon hopefully, if not I'm just gonna sell them : /

And back to MY point, the Yellow top is NOT designed to be used as a primary battery. The RED top is the one that should be used. Yellow tops do not last as long as a Red when used as a primary battery. Never have.

Ok let me clear this up for you old man! :p take yellow top, place it in said spot on Dave's truck, hook up accessories to it, leave starter and main harness hooked up to red top, close hood and ride!

    Look at build!
 will do! Not sure when ill make it back, still have to regear the rear and get tires then figure out my driveshaft and ill be ready.. will be early july at earliest probably.. also need a new PWR steering pump and make a new drag link so that will dig into funds

Not trying to start anything, but ive had my yellowtop for a little over 2 years now without any issue.. not saying its the best to run, your more than likely right on the subject but no issues here and ive killed it 3-4 times and once started it charges right back up and starts up the next morning.. no complaints here

Not as easy to find a welder as it seems as I have been working the same issue with my 4X Fabrications set that arrived for install.

    1. Welding shop #1 in Huntsville. After constant calls and word that "Dan" would call me back I gave up on that one.
    2. Welding shop # 2 doesn't do vehicles.
    3. C&J welding in Huntsville is going to do it. Talked with them regarding moving the brake/gas lines before doing so to get a good feel that they know what they were doing and he laughed at me so I know they do. I put together a paper of an install on another truck and asked if he wanted to me to leave it for his welders and he said no. He also can prime them for me with an industrial base primer and I will take them home for final painting. Reasonable costs also. Will have them put together on Monday and bring them back after I paint them for final install.

    Will post an update later.

You didn't say to ADD a battery though. You said to put in a Yellow Top. So by what you said, I believed you were suggesting that he install a Yellow Top, not go dual battery. He only has one battery in his truck.

Yes, there are plenty of people who run the Yellow as a primary. I'm just trying to point out that that is not the intended purpose for the Yellow. Sure it can work, but the Red is what is designed to be used as a primary battery.

You also didn't state, until after, that he was gonna run dual battery. I was just simply saying put in the yellow top. Heck, all I could have meant was to put the yellow top in the cab! :p

He never stated that I would be running a duel battery setup, and I do not plan to. Have you been drinking again?

I also took mine off of my 07 when I had it. It seemed to ride better, and handle better after the removal. Just keep in mind, removing it will also remove the safety of it being there in the first place.
