Nice truck, god job on choosing the best color. I've had 2! :) I am also partial to MGM though.

(Sorry this is long winded. I initially misread your question as "Was it a buyback on the 99?" So I thought I'd tell the story.) I had been keeping an eye on the frame as I had kept the truck in pretty good shape and didn't necessarily want to have to look for another truck, but I was pulling into the parking lot at work about three weeks ago and I heard a loud pop. I went back and looked after I parked and the front of the rear suspension spring had gone through the frame and was up inside of it. I wasn't sure if it was pinching the brake line so I took it into the dealer that's about two blocks from work and they wouldn't let me drive it off the lot. Gave me a loaner, a nice double cab 2014, and started the paperwork for the buyback.

The process has its own timetable but it took about two weeks for them to get a check to me and I just drove the loaner until I bought this one. I had to dicker with them a little as they initially didn't include two options that it had on their Blue Book assessment and then they weren't using the KBB Retail price for the 1.5 buyback price. They were using the private sale price, which was lower. I actually had to walk a supervisor through it on the KBB page to get the right price. I wound up getting $9500.00 on a 99 regular cab PreRunner with automatic, 2.7 litre engine, and pretty basic amenities, PS, AC, Tilt Wheel, aluminum wheels. :)

I was lucky in a way though, because in looking at the "In Service" date and figuring 15 years, I had about 9 months left on the extended warranty! The only bummer (besides a new car payment) was the $600 in tires I had put on her a month before. :(

Excellent choice of color. I almost bought that one, but the day before I was to take it out for a test drive, my Spruce Green Mica showed up on the lot. I like both colors a lot. Congrats!

    Great looking truck!!!:D
I went from a 2000 tacoma sr5 2.4l to a 2013 Tacoma preruner 2.7l with sr5 package ( due to alot of driving for work) and that was a big step. I could only imagine how it is for you with getting a TRD!
I babied mine for 2 days than had to go exploring and acouple months later now mine has some little scratches but couldn't complain about the off road handling and where I have taken a 4 banger!
Within the first couple days already started planning what to do next to it hahaha!!!
