Might have been a fluke and a vsv switch closed or opened wrong started a vacuum on the tank. .. Thats the only way you can pull a vacuum from the tank and have that much vacuum as you say. I check the diagram on the tank... I see you have a supercharger that could have fluked on you also pulling vacuum HARD...

The book says .5mm max, that's 1/2 a mm and you have 7 times the max. A catastrophe waiting to happen.

Nice, seriously thinking of getting rid of the fiberglass shell for a soft topper like that.

Yeah that's lucky since you were cutting the hangers off anyways haha. The ubolts were rough coming off so I broke out the angle grinder on those too.

One way  Hopefully he'll post some pictures, I didn't get any. And just for reference he went with dakars and 882's

I've had shell's in the past... loved that they kept my shit dry, but I hated how heavy and awkward they were off the truck... and how heavy and ugly they were on... this softtopper I love... all the benifits... none of the draw backs IMO... does have it's own issues... solid sides mean shitty rear view... but I use my mirrors a lot anyways so not a big deal.

    AWESOME! what one is that?

I'm running 881's for now. I'll upgrade when I get cool stuff up front like a bumper. Just got the front installed today, I'll post pictures when it's all said and done. Those UCA's gave me a beating!

My dad also thought that it could be a faulty switch somewhere that reset itself when the engine cooled or something strange like that. I wasn't boosting when it happened, the engine was at probably 8 inches of vacuum. How the tank got vacuum blew my mind because I was cranking the engine with the fuel line completely disconnected and had zero flow.

I'm just wondering if/when it will happen again. I might be getting a commuter car sooner than anticipated. I can't afford to miss work.

Thanks to Gear Head for helping and letting me come to his house! 883s and Dakars. Did not install the extra leaf yet, personally didn't want to much rake so I will wait a little while for it to settle then add it or whenever the RTT gets here :D
