    On my list so far:

    2014 Toyota Tacoma
    2014 Toyota 4runner
    2015 SUbaru WRX
    2014 Subaru BRZ

    Maybe:
    2014 Bmw 3 series / 4 series
2014 Mercedes CLA-250 All wheel drive

Any other vehicles you guys would consider?

I want something comfortable, reliable, and that can be had for about $35k max. I know these are not the most fuel efficient vehicles, but i guess some fuel economy wouldn't hurt.

Let me know what you guys think.

    Thanks

As for BMW's, you may want to look at the X1.
It's a little bargain for the prop emblem that sell 13/1 over the 3 series wagon, plus, you can get one with the N55(300hp/300tq) as we did. They are UNDERRATED as the performance belies the engine output numbers. Suspension is a mix of last gen 3 series and last years 1 series. The 4 cylinder (240hp / 8sp auto) is available either RWD or AWD and the 6cyl is AWD.

Take a looksie. You can get a 4 cyl mid 30's if you shop around.

Gas mileage would be worse than my tacoma

Don't think that would be a smart move

Oh, this is about MPGs. Prius it is...

I don't think $35k will touch it, but a BMW 335D would be awesome for power and economy. I would have one if owning one out of warranty didn't scare the shit out of me...

    I'm assuming you don't need a truck.

Definitely check out the wrx/sti platform, the new ford fusion seems like a good car also.
If you want power, economy, and a german car check out the diesel mercedes, my grandpa has a 06 diesel E class and it gets 40 MPG cruising around.
Personally I'd stay away from BMW/Mini, the maintenance costs are through the roof compared to the other cars you listed.

    Haha no prius.

Just can't see myself getting worse gas mileage than my tacoma which was about 15-16 mpg
