Tint is definitely one of my next upgrades, but going to stay pretty close to legal limits on my fronts. My exhaust is an attention getter along with the red paint.

 

Yeah thats like the 1-2 punch for cop attention the grey helps me blend in

 

I had a red Grand Am v6 (see sig) with 15% tint, Magnaflow with no resonators. Cops never bothered me for the tint (or much at all). Later had a red Trans Am WS6 with 15% tint stock exhaust. Got pulled over all the time. Cop pulled me over and made me remove my front window tint on the spot

 

Haha so I saw my ex today after a while at a grad party out in Scottsdale today. My morale dropped greatly as I saw her leaving in a jeep that made my truck look like shit. It was very nice

I wasnt to worried about her haha, it was the 50" rigid light bar and all the D2's that got me.

How was everybody's weekend? The Grand Canyon didn't disappoint and I'm exhausted! I didn't think there were enough rapids

 

It also depends on what time of day/night your driving at. They tend to use that as a means to look for other illegal items or drunk drivers. My wife's Scion Xb had limo tint on the front side windows and was never stopped of course she was never out at night but she was lowered with rims.

Az cops (especially Chandler/Mesa) hates imports and lowered trucks.

I had a 90 Ford ranger, limo on the windshield, double limo on the rest of the class. Never once got a ticket for it but was pulled over for speeding a few times.

My 91 CRX, had NO tint anywhere. Got pulled over with the windows down (no AC so the windows were always down) and he made me roll my window up and checked for illegal tint with a meter they slide over the glass. As I called him an asshole for checking a car that obviously had no tint, he then went around and tried to catch me on a handful of other laws I was breaking. Couldn't get me on one thing wrong as I know what is legal and what isn't legal to have on a car in Az. Still the asshole wasted about 1 hour of my time to 'inspect' my CRX.

My wife's been pulled over in her old Civic and the cop said something to the effect of "we are looking for these types of cars here". He told her they profile import cars. I'm sure lowered trucks are looked at the same way.

In reality, it's only matters on the cop you get. I choose to stay legal now because I don't want to give a cop any reason to come talk to me.
