Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
Wish I would have known, I would have bought one from you. I haven't seen lights flickering, but I bent the tab down on the mercury switch some. My lights don't turn on until 1/2 to 3/4 way up. If I remember, I'll get some pics tomorrow.

I can link/ pics to the exact Heat Shrink Tubing from HD if you want. it is an adhesive lined type for waterproof connections. In the electrical isle, sold in packs of 2-3 depending on diameter

Heat Shrink Tubing. I used it to thicken the end of the gas prop that way it actuated the switch. These gas props are skinny. Less thick than most of the others.

    Sorry it took me longer.

Here the cap is closed (repping TW)

And my hood switch. It's held by double sided tape, just zip tied for extra measure. With the salt they put down here, less holes in body parts, the better. I will probably clean that install up a bit in the future. It does not light until the hood is at least 3/4 of the way up.

That looks awesome. So it's a security component for the mag switch.

I agree on the holes issue. I have some strong opinions on manufacturers and finishing their products. Like actually integrating harnesses into body parts of the vehicles. But I understand why they do not do it. I just like a cleaner finished look on things.

Yes. I was not happy in the beginning as it was staying on periodically. Fingers crossed, but that hasn't happened in a while.
