    ^Maybe you're onto something! I should probably just get chevy 63s with orbit eyes and do something like Silas did.

    I want my rear to flex like this: (According to his build, he's running his rear springs 33" apart)

    I'll check it out! Any suspension mods will be down the road a bit, but I was thinking about a custom Alcan 8 pack using my orbit eyes that were 63 or 64" in length. Then I'd have my load carrying and more flex.

    But, my first priority is somehow getting my hands on a double cab for cheap. Either I'll transfer my gear onto a new truck, or transfer the cab onto my truck. I just think it would be cool to have a '96 double cab...

    Taco Driver's build is awesome! Just keep in mind that 1200 lb rear axle/tires will help a lot with droop as it's just SOOOOO firkin heavy! haha The Toyota rear (coming in at about 350lbs with tires) is just so easy for the leaves to lift a tire earlier. :D;)

    Is 33" narrower than stock? (I don't have truck to measure, atm) That definitely helps flex, but it will also reduce stability...

    Yeah, the more I think about it, I'm going to do a custom 63" Alcan 8 pack with orbit eyes. I think that the eye being in the spring rather than the upper shackle mount might keep the rear axles positioned a little better too.

    Silas, I need to pick your brain one of these days...

    Polaris just called me wanting to fly me to MN for another interview. They mentioned "sign on bonus", their "ride it home" program, stock options and end of year bonus...

    I'd hate to move to MN, but they are making it hard to turn them down, if push comes to shove...

    :cool: we will see about that. I still have all 3 leafs. if I pulled one, I bet I would have quite a bit more flex but then i would have no load capacity, but with the 3 leafs I bet i can still handle a load the same as factory at least. I haven't had the 2 bikes in the back yet, which is about the most weight I will ever carry. Ill see what it looks like all loaded up down to moab. Bed rack, all my gear and a full set of 35s haha.

    related note i think the spring retainers are keeping the main springs from arching as much as they could. I could open them up more, but I also dont want leafs slipping out side ways like mine and monte's AALs did

    Man, that is some flex! Mark, I really need to do this. Your rig has come so far, just since I've been on the boards. Hey, have you experienced any draw backs to the setup? How is the compression on the 63s?
