i have a flowmaster 40 and i really like the sound of it, nice and deep. But the dynomax do sound good as well for sure. Really don't like magnaflows on our trucks, cuz they sound way too ricey for me

the only thing im concerned about is my exhaust sounds good now but it stops at the muffler so im not sure if its gonna sound like crap if i get dual tailpipes. every 2.7 tacoma ive heard with duals sounds like crap. in which case i may just get a turndown at the muffler and dump it after the passenger door.

right now my exhaust is cut off at the muffler and it dosnt sound bad but it deffinately drones on the inter state. but im wondering if i should get it extended with a turn down after the axle? do yall think that would mellow it out at all?

well i have the thrush welded on there now and i really like the sound but i need to adjust it cause i just cut out the stock and clamped it right on but it vibrates and hits the frame at low rpm. like i said tho it drones at steady speed so would it mellow it if i ran a pipe further out just under the bed and put a turndown or would it make it louder?

I LOVE the thrush on my 3.4L, my buddy has the flowmaster 40, not much difference, other than the price tag. you can also usually go to a muffler shop and they'll cut out the old muffler and hold up a few different ones for you to listen to.

I have a Bullet on my 2.4l and I love the way it sounds. It of course got much better when I did the CAI, Thorley Ceramic Header and Hi Flow cat. But even with just the Intake I loved it.

alright fellers just got my exhaust finished and i love it!!! i had the thrush welded muffler on their just danglin under the cab, it sounded ok but it rattled like a bitch and the drone at steady speed was unbearable. but i just got a 2ft pipe welded to it with a turndown just before the axle and it sounds sooo much better, its way more mellow on the inside and not ricey at all. ill put a clip up in a minute....
