Regardless, I probably have a healthier diet than most of you. Most everything I eat I cook myself and all my meat is home grown from a friend or wild game.

honestly your genetic makeup controls 90% of it, i've know people who workout and eats clean their whole life and dies at 50, also seen old lady who don't even lift smokes and drinks and live till 90, eat what you want and keep in moderation, life is too short bruhs srs

    The better coast

Live and learn. It is very interesting (and embarrassing for the patient) when someone comes into the docs office who is athletic and has diabetes symptoms, blocked vessels, very high BP/Blood cholesterole or other diet related issues that are usually only seen in the overweight and/or inactive population of our society.

Reinforces the "you are what you eat" saying....and right now I am a PB&J which means everybody loves me :D

I wanna eat whatever the fuck I wanna eat. So I do. And I'm not depressed, I have great sex, and my abs show on a daily basis.

So...back to the original gym thread premise...about working out, not diet. I told you fools I finished my paper so I don't have a hard on for that anymore.

Just got done eating a steak, egg, and cheese biscuit....was still hungry, so I ate a redlink, egg, and cheese biscuit, too. I've been eating like this since Sunday and I love it. Although, I am going back to my regular diet tomorrow. My regular diet isn't a "clean" or "dirty" diet; it's just a bunch of food that I like and that fits my muh fukkin macros. I'd say it's about 60/40 clean to dirty ratio. It's not because I feel that I need to eat any certain amount of "clean" foods or limit how much "dirty" foods I eat. IIFYM says eat whatever dafuq you want, but I do it within reason. I love tuna and grilled chicken, so I have no problem eating it everyday. I also love Coke and Baked Lays, so I'm gonna eat those, too. It's all about moderation. I'm down to 183 lbs from my original 200 a few months ago, so whoever says you have to eat 100% clean is wrong.

That being said, would I benefit more from eating a salad than from eating a Snickers bar? Well, yes. But, I don't realistically see someone eating a miserable ass diet that you hate in the long run. I'd rather have something I know I can stick to because I enjoy it. I'm not trying to compete and I enjoy hot wings and beer too much to go on some unrealistic ass diet.

I think Derick summed it up best, though:

Finished the Texas spartan races last weekend. 9.8 miles on saturday and 4.5 on sunday.

Just giving you shit. obviously there isnt just one way of doing things. Ive tried "clean" eating and dirty builking...

Left pic was "clean" eating. I was lifting 5 days a week and running 3 or 4 times a week. I weighed 143-146lbs...

Right pic is now at 160. Eating everything I see. lifting 5 days a week and still running just as much.

DO you have a collapsed arch/low arch? There are exercises that can help strengthen your feet and arches to help with ankle and knee problems. I would hate to have to rely on orthotic shoes or inserts from now on unless you have no other choice.
