2004 F-350...uh lots of motor work to go fast...er. Way to much to list. 2001: 3" leveling kit, ARB bumper, lightforce 240 blitz, 35" KM2s. SOLD 2008: OME 886s 90000 with dakars, LR UCAs, 5% tint, Satashi. SOLD 2015: Flooded and Gone
Rear shoes maybe, but yes I have done the bleeding method plenty of times and it last for about a week or so. I'm gonna try flushing the system and put new shit in there. If I can't sell it by time I come down.... 4 weeks maybe less. Then I plan on some glass fenders and Tundra brake upgrade. I'll save up some money while I'm on deployment at the end of the year till next summer roughly and then I'll full blown lt or solid axle

What do you mean by flushing? Bleeding your brakes pumps new fluid from master through each corner, and if it fixes it temporarily, then you're either getting air into the lines or somehow getting them contaminated really fast, I'd think. I don't see what a "flush" would do beyond that.

Small air leak? Are you putting in old, moist fluid that's been sitting around in an opened bottle for months?

Spongy brakes= air, bad master cylinder, or wheel cylinder.

    Hard brakes= bad brake booster.

The biggest thing I did to help my brakes was adjust my rear brakes.

Before, the previous owner super glued the letters back on and I peeled them off and by time I noticed it, it was to late. So I sanded it down and thought for some time of what to do, this is what I chose. It isn't perfect but what is in the world

See I've tried adjusting the rear but the parking brake trick doesn't work no more. I guess I'll just fresh fluids and new shoes and upgrade to Tundra on the front... Might help stop the 35s also:eek:

Just replace everything.. I got tired of trouble shooting and being wrong so I just started replacing. I only got the brake booster left, but they are almost 100% so it can wait

You do not use the parking brake to adjust the rear brakes. It never really works right. The way I always adjust the brakes on both gens is to find a flat, open area, go in reverse at about 15 mph, then apply the brakes firmly. don't lock them up, but don't be gentle. The auto-ratcheting mechanism will click up and move the adjuster for you. Do this about 7 or 8 good times. This will auto-adjust brakes that have fallen out of adjustment.

On a side note here: This coming weekend is Memorial Day weekend. What are everyone's plans? Anyone riding? Anyone want to go somewhere and just hang out and have a few beers? (Not plastered drunk, just a get together and BS?)

It's a long weekend for me for the first time in 6 years, and I would like to enjoy it with some friends!

But you all will do.... :rimshot:

I'm going to NC. Alex, the whole rear braking mechanism needs to be replaced. We can do that while I am up there. Go ahead and get everything as well as shoes. I shouldn't worry about drums, unless you want to replace them. 250k miles on factory drums.

Wish I could! I have so much stuff to get done at the moment. I'm probably about 2 months or so from getting back on track.
