I've had mine 2.5 years and spent ~40 nights in it. Never had that happen.

Still, you did. I'd be upset too, but, yeah, shit happens. Let Bobby know. He'll help you get it fixed.

YKK zippers are generally of high quality. Sucks that it happened and hope you get it fixed soon. It looks like CVT does not cut corners on zippers so this is hopefully an isolated incident.

Ya totally. I got it working again with some patience and jiggling. Just shocked at the zipper breaking. At least it still serves it's purpose.

I've never had this happen to me with ykk zippers, you're right. Prob a one off.

Seems like it will be a hassle to fix too.

What the frick were you doing jerking on it?.... Lol send me your address and we will get a new one shipped out to you. Next time be patient, make sure everything is out of the way when zipping and if it does get stuck again add baby oil or vitamin e oil to lube it and that way it does not cause friction and get it more stuck.
    Have a great night!

Thanks bobby! I emailed you already as im still waiting on 2 condensation mats, maybe slip it in there? Amazing service to help me out like this.

As for jerking on it.... I was a bit but nothing any zipper hasn't seen before. When i got it loose after being patient with it for 45 mins i saw why it was so stuck.

The zipper caught fabric zipping up... Then as it moved down it caught fabric so was stuck in both ends. Its took forever and millimetres if moving in each direction slowing getting each end free. Never seen a zipper get so stuck before. I think just the back and forth motion busted it... No idea.

I was totally shocked when it came off, maybe a lemon as ykk zippers are usually flawless.

    Quick question:

Going to go pick mine up at the freight center tomorrow 30 miles away. What is the best way to secure the tent (in the box) in the truck? I currently have a tall All Pro bed rack installed. Try to fit in in the bed under the rack? Take the rack off and put it in just the bed? Or bring more straps and secure the whole box to the top of the rack?

Kinda unsure how to do it. I have the short bed so room is limited. Don't want to get down there and realize I can't safely transport it back.

Depends on the model. I drove for 3 hours with it in the box almost flat in the bed. I own a shasta.

Just toss it on top of the rack and secure it down. Or drop the tailgate, slide it in, and then use some straps to keep it from sliding out. It's only 30 miles...

Wasn't sure how much bigger the box was. Afraid it wouldn't fit in the bed.

    "It's only 30 miles...."

Really? That's when shit always fall off! I dropped way to much money in this tent to have it come off on the interstate.

I believe there is a tool that pops the zipper heads off to allow a new zipper to be installed....maybe a good upholstery repair shop may be able to help if you can't wait for a new zipper? :notsure:

I transported my buddy's tepui ruggedized version (in box) for 200 miles on top of my bed rack with 3 ratchet straps holding it down. 7000 ft elevation increase too. You'll be fine
