    Oh boy...
    Thanks everyone!

and yeah they were black to begin with i was just trying to repair a moisture leak which i thought i did. but i guess not all the way so its kinda good that its raining tonight because i discovered a new way of suckinging the moisture out of headlights....... shop vac.

so i will try this method a few times but if it constantly happens then i will go back to stock and never touch headlights again...

The projectors looked pretty basic it was a peice of mounting hardware*(plastic) that held the projector and the chrome looking high beam thing. not sure if i could swap out the projector but im sure its possible. might be more trouble than its worth.

So my brakes are starting to squeak. Only sometimes though. And not too loud. But it still bothers me. Anyone else have this problem? Is it normal for tacos to squeak. Haha. Lmk. Thanks.

For squeaky brakes there are a few tricks. Sand paper the rotors perpendicular to the leading edge of the pad. Sand the pads on a flat surface. These steps help to remove the glaze on the surfaces. Also, chamfer the leading edges of the pads so there isn't a shape edge when the spinning rotor encounters the pad.

I have heard of people swapping the projectors out, but not plug and play. You have to cut the back of the housing. Thing is that they don't look like retros so no one will notice you have retros. That's why I seen guys doing it.

Thinking of putting spacers for my tires. Currently have Mickey Thompsons Baja Mtz 265/75/16. If i install fender flares, would i still need to get recon?

Also looking for a 2011 honeycombe grille preferably flat black, and even better if the symbol is black also. I want to switch out my current chrome grille.

If i put spacers with no flares, and the tires stick out, would i be able to pass safety inspection?

Not true, if you install the flares, it is considered a body modification and you will need recon for the flares. So if your tread face sticks out beyond the fender, you will need flares, and if you have flares, they require recon. Doesn't matter if it's lifted or not.

I thought that would only be true if you replaced it with fiberglass. the current "flares" are plastic, so putting another set of plastic might not need it.

I think if you do not have to cut your steel fenders or make supports to fit the new flares (basically if they are a direct replacement) then you don't need RECON.

According to the worker at the recon station, the recon permit is for the flares, they consider it a body modification. They are more concerned about that as opposed to the wheels and tires. So if it isn't stock flares, it is supposed to be listed.
