Since the mood has turned positive for the most part...

Brute Force is currently building me a totally custom front tube bumper, for my 5 lugger. Paid in full mid-Jan, the only instructions I gave him were: low profile, tube and no goddamn hoops. The rest is/was up to him. It's supposed to be very close to being done, if not done but I still have no clue as to what it looks like.

Mike(ffirg) is getting the first full plate first gen bumper that Billy has made I believe.. So hopefully that will be available to the general public here in the not too distant future as well.

If anyone does talk to billy after seeing this post, would they let him know I'm trying to get in touch with him and to keep an eye out or give me a buzz. Relatively urgent but not life threating or anything.

Will update/delete when I talk with Brute Force.

I hope that this all gets resolved; it seems like this is heading in a positive direction.. Awesome craftsmanship and shitty communication.

Billy does great work. And is a nice guy.

But again, I know he was a little challenging to get ahold of, perhaps I was more aware of it because I shelled out a chunk of change.

In the limited fab work that I've done for others, I try to keep people as informed as possible. A simple text telling them where you're at in production, or a phone call to coordinate installation goes a long way. Word of mouth reputation at my level is super important, and I plan on keeping it positive.

It kills me to see dudes like Elite. Bottom line, if you were the owner of a street front business, that behavior would be illegal.

I totally understand that stuff happens, I know I've felt like as ass when my plate forming shop has dropped the ball... But, I was upfront about it to my customer. Rather than no updates and evading them..

Then there's always the fanboys that get butthurt when these conversations arise.

Bottom line; when you take people's money, a short update goes a long way. Yes, it's extremely hard to balance a small fab operation and a daily life, but a little customer service goes a long way..

X2. Billy is a great guy and I have received nothing but quality work from him. He is a bit optimistic on setting expectations and not communicative on the back end but fortunately times were not obscenely long. Calling him on his cell worked much better than the forum.

I read the threads about lead times on some of the other fabricators and shake my head in disbelief at 8 month waiting for bumpers, etc.

Well, I could care less about the wait, that would be totally fine, I just don't have $2000. I didn't realize it was that pricey :'''''(

I saw $2000 I was like THAT MUCH FOR A FRONT HYBRID BUMPER?!

I don't recall exactly the break out but I believe it was right around that price. I also added front hoops and winch cut out.

Yeah that's prob what I would be doing, I looked at all the other hybrid bumpers and I like this one the best. The only other thing I would opt for is a winch accepting pre-runner bumper, then again, I could get a good come along winch and save all that winch money. Idk mannnnnnnnnnnnnnn. I still love this brute force bumper
