Hey guys, I was told this would be the place to ask for some opinions on LED bars. I'm looking to get a 40" bar for my truck but I'm not sure if it would be better to get a straight 40" with the combo pattern or get a radius bar with spot pattern. Please help me better understand the spread patten and range of each!

Radius with spots seems to be making alot of happy customers lately as well as no windshield glare

Putting that on hold for the time being right now. The rear needs upgrades before the front.

man i am so tired of front end problems.

i need to upgrade to uniballs all the way around. fuck lower ball joints and all that crap.
is there any way to have a uniball lower with a stock spindle on 1st gens?

its so hard for me to justify 3.5k for a new kit with uniball lowers and uppers and a spindle.

    im 4wd.

Interesting. So do you think it performs better than a combo pattern?

I did a Barstow to Laughlin Mojave trail run with 2 friends that have the Solo linked rear. Both trucks are double cab and they performed flawlessly. Matter of fact I'm pretty sure one of the them was the first tacoma that Solo linked. Needless to say they ran # 1 and #2 all the way to Laughlin.
    These are the 2 trucks

Grenaded my rear end again. What are you guys running for rear ends other than yota stuff? What width are the LT 2nd gen guys running?

9" and don't look back, a stock junkyard 9" is stronger then any Yota rear end

For sure, but really all I would be able to use out of a junkyard 9" is the housing (would have to regear, need a locker, 6 lug axles, brakes, etc) and it's hard to find them wide enough. Stock 2nd gen is 66" WMS to WMS, I'm looking for 68" as ideal width but could go as high as 70". That leaves older 3/4 ton ford vans, and most of them are 28 spline. Do you think a stock 9" with a detroit locker would hold up to heavy 37's?

I would run 31 spline min, even that would be weak on 37s, but it all depends on how you drive. I've spend way too much money trying to make Toyota rear ends last, I could have easily paid for a full floater with all the money I wasted

I'm getting there. This rear end has eaten $2100 in parts so far. Thinking of getting a rockjock 60 and just be done with it. Eh, I have 3.0's and bumps.
