    Too few to list.
Correct, the fenders have a sort of texture to them and repainting them will make them smooth and not match the others. I know because I've seen this done to my cousin's truck. As far as the bumper, I would totally use this opportunity to replace the bumper with a plate bumper. Just an idea for ya...

Now that I'm thinking about it, about 10 years ago I was parked in a supermarket lot and I saw a guy about 4 spaces up the hill let go of his cart as he put his kid in the car. Coudn't get there in time and the cart basket hit and went right up onto the hood. About 1200 in damage. He had his homeowners take care of it for me. Maybe a possibility?

Bushwacker fender flares look great and the only thing that's left is the scuff on the bumper which will probably buff out almost completely...

step 2) after finally getting it appraised (1900) I got it fixed
    step 3) it was MINT
step 4) the very next day, 75+ on interstate at night, cars ahead of me
suddenly swerving for something I had no time to react
step 5) I slam into a flying, full gatorade bottle of piss, it hits and shatters my new bumper

    LOL was not had

aye, i have not been able to keep the idea of a plate bumper out of my head... though all i really want is just a front mount winch. a warn trans4mer has pretty much been what id go for, i think... that or a soft top are most likely what id spend the money on. and/or getting the chrome pieces painted

i also did not know about bushwacker flares but that is a real good option... paint would likely add up quickly for all 4 though i am a fan of the rugged look anyway... hmmm

    these are my peoples hahaha

I would take it in because if it were my truck I'd rather get someone that does this daily rather than screw up something else or have to redo paint etc etc. That's why we pay for insurance. Just my 2 cents

If/when it happens to mine, I'm going for an aftermarket bumper that won't crumple in a stiff breeze.

Just get it fixed. I've dealt with Allstate and Farmers when I had accidents in my previous car and they both told me if you go to their recommended shop they will fix any issues of concerns after the work has been done...in your case the possibility of the paint not matching.

Good Lord I would be furious, would make sure she knew it was a new truck.
I have the same truck as you, just an AC.

I baby this thing, will not park by anyone when I take it out.
This truck is six months old and not one scratch.
I hope I am not around when some dip wad bangs it with their door, we will do battle.

yeah it would have been much easier to deal with emotionally if she was a bitch or i could have had some confrontation haha

you guys are right though that a hybrid/plate bumper is definitely the best solution. unfortunately, they are a bit showy/gaudy for my tastes, especially as i have zero intention of lifting it. maybe i'll at least look around for the 'least gaudy' one (suggestions?)... but otherwise bumper is OK enough i would just leave it and spend the money on a front winch (warn trans4mer?). id really like to ditch the rear chrome bumper... im probably more likely to buy a rear plate bumper to that effect, actually haha

going to get estimate now, i will let yall know what comes out

all the front bumper options for these trucks are just way too aggressive

estimate was $1100 (including new OEM bumper), insurance company was supposed to get back to me wednesday, still havent heard, followed up with their repair shop today to hopefully light that fire...

I had mine redone about 8 months into ownership and they matched the paint perfectly on the fender. Any good body shop should have no issues as the paint is still new and unfaded.

    Also.....

New off road bumper time? Thats what sparked my change! My OEM bumper painted with mounts came to like 800$ or something crazy, put that towards a bumper and pay the few hundred difference.

    Something to ponder

consider yourself lucky you saw it and someone else is paying for it.

with my truck, right after I got it, we went to eat at a restaurant to celebrate and came out to see a dent in my rear (chrome) bumper. dent is like a 2 inch line after I cleaned off all the paint transfer. I did not get it fixed (as my deductible is high), so I just see it everyday and learned to ignore it.

just get it fixed and move on. I doubt it will affect anything.
