    You have a very good point there. Certainly can't argue with that.
    My boss, who lives across the street from me, leaves his truck unlocked, windows down, thousands of dollars in tools and and materials in the back, and keys in the ignition. I don't understand how his truck DOESN'T get messed with.

    Seriously though. People leave windows open and doors unlocked around my neighborhood all the time. People leave their internal garage doors open all night without issue. And for the most part I trust that my shit will be ok. But you never know, a couple of guys who are up to no good and start making trouble in my neighborhood. I don't want to have to get into one little fight and my mom get scared. :D

    Thats what happens when you live in a smaller town! I live in a rather large town but have met a few officers in the area... One of them is on here and he stops by frequently to ask if I've heard about recent crimes or anything... Found out that 2 weeks ago someone had been peering into cars and one of my neighbors caught the perp after he came back 3 times.

    Luckily I lock my truck and most theives are looking for something a little easier to steal. And I keep nothing of value in my truck over night

    My ex was horrible about locking doors - which I nagged him about to no avail. He left his truck unlocked alot and one time someone swiped his archery gear out of the back seat. The insurance wouldn't do anything about it because there was no sign of forced entry - they figured the doors were unlocked (which they were) and it was his fault for not being more careful. He should have just listened to me.

    I don't go so far as to lock it in the garage but anytime my truck is outside, its locked.
