Seems like every decent camping spot within 300 miles is going to be cloudy or rainy this weekend but clear on Monday.

Dude, you live in the Front Range.... the mecca of craft breweries. Your best bet is to get out a phone book or hit up Google Maps, see what's nearby and start going to them and trying tastes of everything they make. This will help you narrow down what you like w/o spending a fortune or getting hammered drunk. Some places do free tastings and some charge a nominal amount. Either way go with friends and plan on having a good time because I have yet to go to a brewery and have a bad time and I'm not a big drinker either. Just seasoned based on age & experience because I don't do it regularly like some do. We've got a lot of good breweries up here and if you were up this way I'd give you plenty more acute suggestions but I'm not very familiar with the Springs. Finding someone who knows first hand would be better than Google but keep in mind it's also that person's tastes you're going on. I've had people tell me that the brewery close to our house sucked and we finally tried it after years and love it.

But yeah, if you just wander into a more well known restaurant order up an Easy Street or Sunshine Wheat. You won't be disappointed if you have a taste for beer in there somewhere.

My aversion to beer and other alcohol boils down to physicaly not being able to drink it the past 3 years. One of the side effects to the cancer I have/had is sever pain when I drink, not fun. I had half a beer a few weeks ago when my brother in law was out here to test if it was still painfull to drink and nothing, so Im going to start my beer drinking over again from scratch slowly and see how I do and how my tastebuds react, they got radiation too and are kind of off still.
So thats why Im asking the "experts" on here.

EXPERTS???? Where??? :D It's all just a matter of taste. I am loving IPA's these days and never used to like them. You just got to go with what you like. But from the sounds of it you need to take it nice and slow. :)

Yeah you know, the ones who drink more then a few kinds in one day more then one day a week. I figured collectively you guys have had 100s of kinds of beers from out here. When I was in the Army it was Bud light and beers like that. Then I got out and got sick. So I figure I should ask you guys.

Anyone know a good lawyer for tenant/landlord issues? My landlord is changing the terms of my lease in a month (my lease is through September) and when I read over the whole thing I don't see where it says they can do that.

I don't know of one but I will tell you Colorado really protects renters. So I'd look into it.

They can't alter your lease w/o your consent. That's the point of a lease contract and unless you agree to the terms they can't alter it and force you to comply. What specifically are they changing?

Yes, big time. This is why I no longer own rentals. Got tired of doing overkill on my due diligence on what was required by law and then some and still getting corn holed in small claims court regardless of having all of the evidence they required and much more. In some cases the tenant even admitted to the wrongdoing and I still lost. I even took one of my cop buddies who spends lots of time criminal court once so he could see the BS that goes on in civil court between landlord/tenant and he was dumbfounded by what occurred. I discovered that it was a losing cause in this state and got out of it quick and in a hurry.

With the new policy effective July 1st they're forcing me to park my truck in my additional garage unit since I'm paying for one. The truck will not fit in the garage physically even if the garage was empty (tiny garages). And, will be forcing me to park my motorcycle outside in a designated m/c spot that they have yet to setup and also not allowing any tools or such in the garage. As well as raising the garage fee $20/mo. The lease has the original garage fee specified on it.

There's a massive parking issue of not enough spots for the number of units they have but I've been unaffected since I wake up at 11pm and get home around 10am from work. This is their solution. They're also forcing people who don't have garages or covered parking to one parking space per person per unit or if you have a garage or covered parking that counts as your one spot.

There is no assigned parking as it is now, and no restrictions on garage usage except they can't be used for storage of stuff. I figure since my motorcycle is in the garage it's all good for my tools/workbench to go in there too since the bike is a registered, plated vehicle.

I don't care if they implement it but I just want to be able to move out without paying fees, or let me stay without the policies taking affect until after my current lease is up. Lease break fees would be about $2,000 to move out early.

There is a parking addendum, and garage addendum in the lease and none of it says they can change it during the lease period.

I don't want to be a dick I just want to park my motorcycle in my garage. The lawyer info is just to have ready to go if I feel the need to escalate it to that level.

Well if I had the awning on the east side it would give me lots of shade. I didn't want to rotate for setting it up for a photo.

Yeah it's a pain in the ass.

Based on what you've told me (assuming there isn't any more to this story) they don't have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of. Mid-lease changes are to be authorized by BOTH parties involved with the lease. This would be the same as you saying 'Well, I'm going to go ahead and leave next month even though I'm contracted until September. See how well that flies w/o them agreeing to it. That's the whole POINT of a rental contract. There are VERY specific guidelines that they must follow and making such changes mid-lease w/o your express consent and signature agreeing to said terms aren't legal. I would think they would have a hard time telling you would you could and couldn't keep in your garage unit so long as it wasn't contraband or hazardous for instance. Now, if they want to make all those changes AFTER your lease ends then they may be able to assuming there aren't any laws preventing them from doing so but that is AFTER your lease ends. There could also be month-to-month provisions that need to be taken into account. I would challenge their projected changes by simply stating that you do not agree to any mid-term lease contract changes and wish to carry out your contract as agreed upon by both parties at the signing of said contract. If they force the issue then you can take it to the next level but my guess is they're just trying to strong-arm residents since it sounds like an apt complex and you'd be amazed how many don't know they have rights and will simply comply out of fear of being homeless in short notice.

Friends & family in the Wyo/Braska area got hammered the last couple of days and probably again today. This is why I now live up against the foothills of the Rockies in the front range of Colorado. 'Tis the season! Hopefully everyone is alright.
