That's what mods are for. I'd rather have an older truck and sink money into personalizing it than pay twice as much to own something everyone else and their grandmother can just go down to the dealership and buy.

Instead of the Colorado, I'd buy a 1st gen Tundra I suppose and get that size between the Tacoma and the now Road Whale version of the Tundra.

Unless there is some sort of catastrophic failure, I can't imagine trading in my Tacoma. My truck will be my coffin before I trade it up. It'll save my family plenty on burial expenses, and I'll be the only guy in Heaven wheeling through the clouds and cruising down that golden pavement.

If there isn't anything available that you want, I don't understand why you sold it.

Have you taken a look at the new Ecoboost F150? Same mileage as the taco and all the options you could want in a vehicle. They can get pricy fast though.

    Awesomeness...

Although I buy new and keep my vehicles a long time, obviously not as long as you though. LOL

Guys I love the Tacoma and respect all of your loyalty towards it. Wish Toyota hadn't neglected this truck but they did. Time for me to move on now...

Oh yeah, sell a truck that's paid for and purchase a new one. That'll put money in your pocket.

Why not upgrade your 05' and make it what you want instead of buying something you may regret later?:notsure: If you was happy with the truck just modify or change the things you don't like and make it what you want instead of starting all over with something that holds less value and doesn't last as long. Just my $.02.

He wants something different...sheesh. Don't know why everyone gets butt hurt when someone wants to get out of their Tacoma and buy something else with their money.

I know what you're saying because I have a 2007 and want to see a few more options and better MPG on a new truck.... I'm thinking of selling mine (only 45k on the ODO) and getting the new 2015 TRD Pro version... Nice upgrades on THIS new package... Already lifted too.

But, I have to ask, why didn't you research the new trucks BEFORE selling yours? I think it would have made sense to keep yours until they offer a redesign and then sell/buy.

And I agree with Papa Taco - Old Tacoma = Awesome, new Tacoma = Still awesome. Where's the issue? You still have an AWESOME truck! You can mod the mirrors for heat and power seats? Really? Once you set it for yourself, when will you need to adjust it again? ;)

Since you have complained before on the Forum it sounds like you knew the 13 was the same truck as the 05. Why complain? You knew what you were doing. So go buy a different truck or what ever you want to do. Its your money.
