    so i got my CB antenna in the mail today, but the little brass cap that is on top of the tuneable tip came off and was floating around in that packaging. is this brass cap supposed to be securely attached or just resting on top of the tip?

    To be honest not sure. I'm pretty sure it is supposed to be securely attached. I checked mine and it is attached. I have a firestick .
