I love my new Tacoma. Since my old,old rides all had an outside temperature display I never expected the new 2014 Tacoma NOT to have one. :(

I have one on my 09 but seriously never look at it. It's either Frickin cold or Frickin hot and I don't need a temp gauge to tell me haha

But I agree, it is weird there isn't one on there.

My previous vehicle had an exterior temperature display and I always thought it was useless. I live in Canada and the display would not measure the windchill so it was misleading. I prefer to look at the weather app on my phone.

    Windchill?
    Isn't that like heat index?

It feels colder or warmer than it actually is....I think a woman started that...

Wind chill only applies to living beings. How can that be detected?...

it is detected quite easily by the weather network. I know that it is beyond the scope of a vehicle but my point is that when the vehicle says it is -19 for instance when in actuality it feels like -40 with the wind the weather display is completely useless. You are better off using your phone or clicking on the tv.

Temp display is only useful (IMO) when you are getting near the freezing point and it is raining. We get a lot of freezing rain here so it is helpful with regards of starting to look out for ice on bridges etc...

As far as in the summer? I don't need it to tell me it is 110*. I know it's fucking hot.

I just like to see the people get worked up because the 14 didn't come with it in the mirror. That seems to be a really touchy subject around here.

    1st world problems

exactly, very useful in winter in North Tx. I say do away with seat belt chime and bring temp back. Also useful when camping and hunting or fishing.
