head to a gear/shop tomorrow and see if they have any shims laying around?

But yes. A call is in order. Be downright retarded to have to pull the stupid bearings off the carrier every time to set the ring right after using a 20ton press to get them on. I have no way of getting them off without destroying them

 

I've honestly never heard of any skims going between the bearing on the carrier. Always seen them on the outside at the race and housing. The only shims that has shims under a bearing is a pinion. Might be able to find a shop close enough that will have one but I'd be calling east coast as soon as they open.

 

I can't sadly as I work 6-4 so yea have to wait till later

What's a pilot bearing?

I dont have that mod done.

I have to tap my pedal and hold it down to get the chirp to go away as well.

Not sure what the fix is.

My pilot bearing sounds like crickets. it comes and goes. If I put just a touch of pressure on the pedal it goes away..

 

I don't. I mean, its definitely the pilot bearing. And the clutch fork has play in it.

 

its some stupid bearing like right in the center of the clutch that does stupid things for stupid manual transmissions

Ya know Ben I thought about it more as I went to bed and it could be a wore out spring in the slave cylinder.

 

I find it best to roll the windows down as well. That way with the tire roar and the radio I can't hear any squeaks or rattles.

 

If it sounds like crickets more than likely it's the throw out bearing. The pilot bearing would only make noise whenever the trans input and crankshaft are spinning at different rates.
