Looking for some local help. I just changed out my stock 2 leaf springs for an HD set along with 884 coils and OME shocks on all 4 corners. Loving the ride but I inherited a takeoff shudder and some vibes 25-30mph. Flipping the CB made the vibes disappear, but I haven't been able to get rid of the shudder.

In my last ditch effort to get rid of this shudder, does anyone know of a reputable drive line shop locally who can make me a 1-piece dbl cardan shaft?

Otherwise, I'll be forced to go back to stock and sell all my new stuff which only has 500 miles on it.

Likewise, if anyone has been through this and fixed it, would love to hear about it.

    Thanks,
    Jay

I just got my aluminum sheet bent for the front section. I still have to mark out the drain plug hole and the mounting points.

I've read them all until I want to throw my laptop out the window. I started all this just wanting a nice sturdy set of springs for towing. I've already spent too much time that I could be using doing the things I enjoy rather than trying to fix this which is why I'm asking about a new shaft. The new 1-piece seems the only thing that works a favorable majority of the time. Otherwise I'm selling it all and going back to stock. I will look into the ECGS some more thanks.

The vibe that the ecgs bushing fixes is around 35-45 and feels like you are running over a rumble strip. This vibe is from the front end and your drive shaft build will not fix it

Fleetpride... There's one near Springfield. I know the Waterbury CT store has a driveshaft shop in it - they make them right there. Maybe the store near you also makes them or ships them to Waterbury. I had a new drivshaft made for my classic Ford - it was right around $200 for a complete driveshaft with new U-joints pressed in too!

Thankfully I do not have this vibe. It's only a take off shudder. No one knows of a good drives haft shop?

I have one of these already. The other vehicle in the house is a 4-Runner.

Pugga....I would consider trading it in but I just dropped $3K into this thing and now I'm stuck with it. Anyone have any stock leafs they want to get rid of?
