    I don't have attitude Nat, simply asking why someone should not drinking milk or eat oatmeal and you did not give a response other than...you're older than me. If you have something to add as to why someone should not drink whole milk and eat healthy whole grains, I'd be interested to hear it

    I love only replying with internet pics. Im just sad that most everything at my work is blocked and I cant participate or even see the pics. I can see the Arnold though :D He fucking punched through my firewall

    My apologies, I wasn't accusing you of having an attitude in a negative sense.

    I have no idea how old the poster I responded to is, but being in my 40's, my body is just different than in my 20's. It has necessitated a change in how I handle my diet. I am flirting with diabetes, which came from my crappy eat whatever diet of my 20's and 30's.

    So the reason I cut out yummy stuff like milk, oatmeal, potatos, chips, etc. was carbs. I could get no real budge to my %bodyfat until I limited them to a strict number, like around 100 grams a day. Doing that you have to cut carbs wherever possible.

    Now you have to be smart too. Its important to ingest protein within 45 minutes of finishing your workout and having some simple carbs with the protein allows your body to metabolize it better.

    Personally I always liked the chocolate chip/fudge pop tarts toasted with a ton of real butter melted on top, so that the crust dissolves in your mouth.

    The 45 min post window is clearly a bro concept...

    IMO oatmeal is not a 'yummy' carb- it's slow releasing...now pile on that sugar and maple syrup that'll change the absorption/digestion rate surely as your insulin levels will spike at a higher rate.
