Any reason why you started off with your offset brackets so big? It appears you cut them down quite a bit during the install?

I didn't know how big they needed to be so I had them made a little big. The shop cut them down to the proper size when they put it all together.

Had a little detour this morning. I was on my way to clear lake in northern Cali and...... My fucking wheel fell off my truck! I80 east in Richmond. I was with the wife and kid towing my boat and I felt a little wobble and then boom! I lost the wheel and it hit another vehicle, crossed the lanes and launched off the overpass. The car that the tire hit just kept driving so apparently they didn't care or something????? I searched for tire and found it over the side of the overpass in the front yard of someone's house. I had to climb down the overpass and jump a fence to retrieve the tire. It was a real bitch getting the tire over that fence and back up to the freeway. My buddy circled around and we transferred all of the gear from my truck to his and he kept going with my family. AAA towed me to Comersons toy shop in Campbell and they got me back in shape with a quickness. Those guys rock. They totally saved the day. It could have been way worse. Glad nobody got hurt. By the way fuck spacers. Not gonna run those anymore. The lugs straight sheared off.

Yeah, Word, I despise spacers. Proper ofset wheels for the win. ... Expensive but getting 3.5" bs, - one of the additional excuses I was using to go LT!

Picked up my warrantee tire from 4 wheel parts so I now have a brand new full size spare. I figured for daily driving I should just stick it in the stock spot under the bed. Sooo, a 35" spare will fit under there lol. I'll just keep it there until I get a swing out or bed mount it for trips.qa6aqedy_d24d448a81062310a6fac55d02f6ce82d91bf734.jpg

I see that we share the same issue with center caps being stuck on. Mine have begun to flake off and I bought a spare set. Have you experienced this?

Yeah they flake a little but I actually took them off yesterday because I like the look of them being off.

I left it alone. I'll be getting new wheels at some point in the future. I gotta try and find 3.5" backspaced wheels in a beadlock.

I have a question on the rear Chevy 63s! What is the length of the springs with the weight of the truck? What does it measure from mount hole to mount hole of the shackle (on the truck side not spring)? Is there room to still mount a rear bumper in the stock holes?

The spring length doesn't change. It will flex but there are several things that affect how the flex. I have an aftermarket bumper which uses the stock mounting location. The way to mock up the front spring hanger is to locate the leaf spring center pin and measure to the front eye. That will give you the front location and for the rear the offset shackle mount can be spotted at any number of places. It all depends on what size shackles are chosen and on how the shackle angel is desired. Here are 2 little diagrams with some basic info on springs and shackle angle.
