Definitely. Apparently their springs are made from kryptonite coated titanium and never sag, EVER! :D

I'm just messing with you. As Rob mentioned, I am a trader, I swapped my Tacoma for a blue oval. Good news is though, no more take off vibrations or shuttering :anonymous:

Mike, if you lift your Ford do you think anything like vibes might happen? Of course they do, you are changing the drivetrain angels which are critical for any vehicle. If you lift a super duty you get a problem called death wobble where the front end shakes so bad you feel like you going to go right off the road and this happens at highway speeds. I think the Taco's are pretty good compared to that.

Pretty sure this is what happens when you have a lifted Ford ;)

Didn't mean to strike a nerve, just messing around...

Not for nothing though, but I had shutters and vibrations at stock height so you can't say that the Tacoma only suffers from those issues once you add a lift to the equation.

HAHAHA, those are stock height though. That's what happens when brotards air out their 'off road ready' Raptors.

I thought the Raptors had a 2.5 lift block in the rear over a standard F150, plus the obvious long travel kit up front...
    Could be wrong.

Sorry, I didn't mean to come across like that. I know you were messing around.

I never had any vibes when stock and after I lifted it is SO minimal that it is not a concern to me.

    Need some help with ideas.

Here is something I am facing...
I am engaged to be married in less then a year. Also, we are first time home buyers..
We made an offer on a family home weeks ago due to a great option that arouse unplanned. Excitedly, the family accepted our offer today. Problem is that all the things that go into moving and making the home our own....and appliances as they were given away.

    Question for those with experience:
How do you break it to your other half that if we are going to keep our wedding date, she cant have her fairy tale wedding? No matter how I have said it "something has to give", she just starts crying...

anyone have any creative ways to have a hell of a reception? What I have presented so far, Block party on our street (small street mostly owned by family members), drastically reduce attendee list, have a huge wedding and a reception later on.

    Eloping is not an option.

You're right, the Raptor has lift blocks from the factory. I was saying it's stock height for that vehicle though.
I hear you, my vibrations weren't terrible and I ignored them. Mine I could trace back to the carrier bearing.
I don't know what your budget is, but we threw a hell of a reception and it wasn't bad on the wallet at all. We had a similar situation where we moved into a fixer upper house, bought all new appliances and were planning a wedding at the same time.

Here's what we came up with:
Those all-inclusive places are great and bad at the same time. They're great because you can accurately calculate the total, all-in without any real surprises. The bad thing, the only way you can cut cost is to cut your guest list. We found one of those all inclusive places that would work with us on the $/plate so we had some flexibility on the number of guests and able to stay under budget.

To get this past your fiance, I would get out a good old pen and paper and run the numbers. Sometimes seeing is believing. This isn't a sad time, you're getting married and buying your first home, it's exciting but you need to be smart about it. No need to start your life off together incredibly far into debt.

    Whelp...
You should get married before you get the house, because once you get the house there's always something acting as a money suck.
On the other hand, probably the "house down payment fund" and the "wedding fund" are the same bank account, right? And to have one you have to raid the other?
Is there an option of financing closing costs and down payments into your loan as part of the deal for yourselves as first-time homebuyers? That would free up money for the 'dream wedding' but can potentially add quite a bit to your monthly payment if you let it. Something to keep in mind.

Another option is to buy used everything. used fridge, used washer & dryer, etc. that'll save you a bundle vs buying new appliances. Probably not enough on its own to cover her dream wedding, but every little bit helps.

Another possibility would be to see if you guys have any moderate-to-high value assets you're not overly attached to (ATV's, boats, etc) that you could use towards either house down payments or dream weddings. Obviously don't sell stuff that you NEED.

    Just a couple of ideas...
Not knowing your financial situation (or your girlfriend's personality, haha!) I obviously can't give the best advice.

You both are right. The down payment and closing costs are a an none issue. mostly. but yes robbing peter to pay paul as far as accounts go. Thou I do have separate savings accounts for each. The house is a much better investment than any one day in my eyes. especially because the house is appraised at 150k more then we are getting it for.

also i seem to live in the wedding capital of the northeast.
