    I know the tank itself holds 21.1 gallons… there's also a pretty decent amount in the filler neck…

    There you go. Maybe mine clicks off a little later. I usually can't fit much more in the tank if I try. Maybe half a gallon if that.

    Its not all in the filler neck though I can promise you that... Being that I pumped gas now for almost 3 years I can say you are getting alot of bubbles because it is being sprayed out... While you do get all the fuel you pay for within the + or - of .003 of a gallon (atleast in NJ) your truck is normaly not "full" on the first click... You can squeeze another gallon or so in there.
