They hold on the bar of steel behind the front bumper. Two 12mm nuts on each side. The bolt appears to be fixed to the crush cans or whatever you call them. I don't have pics right now. I ended up putting the stock bumper back on so I can be legal.

I just cut the wires for the corner lights and hooked them up to the turn signals. :notsure:

    Say what?

So prior to dissection, you had your corner lights in your turn signal locations and your blinkers routed up to the corner light location?

I'm guessing he turned his parking lights into turn signals. Not exactly kosher in most states.

This is going to be interesting, filling this in. Have to take my time so I don't waste this set of corner light housings. I'll still have to test to make sure I'm not going to melt the lens.

I did that and now I have a fast blinker.... I already got use to the fast blinking speed.

Cheaper fix is to just drill out one of the traces on the relay pcb. It's not the same speed as with the normal bulbs, but it isn't a fast blink either....kinda in between.

That's my trepidation. My corner lights are color matched. I don't want to screw them up. I spent twice as much in base coat and clear coat than I did on the housings themselves.

Yeah, these are plain stock ones so I've got less into them. I've got a working set for now, this is just icing on the cake. Arts&Crafts projects are not my forte. If this doesn't work out, I'll probably wait a couple months and try again with a different idea.

I'm assuming you are questioning my comment on the kosherness of removing the running/parking lights up front by turning them into turn signals. Check your local motor vehicle statutes. Most states require front corner marker lights and specify the colour and distance they can be seen at.

I doubt very seriously I'd get pulled over for not having them here in NM but if I didn't have them when I lived in VA, I would have failed inspection.

They don't, specifically, have to be in the corners. Per the NM statute they have to be visible from up front and on the side.

And, yes, western states are much more relaxed about code and enforcement. I know many of the Pennsylvania and New Jersey TWers have fun times with their local inspection stations. I've seen a few posts about dumping the exhaust and tires sticking out too far.

I don't know if I could ever live back east again.

I dipped the hell out of my truck.

I used the camo tan for the body of the truck, put a white top on it like the old Land Cruisers (and the new FJs) and blacked out the rest of it. Tons of pictures and some hints to fix rust spots etc here. http://diptaco.blogspot.com

    Look at build!

You've just got to move a little further south.

Theres no way in hell my truck would pass any inspection if we had them
