Curious how long yours took. I am sitting at 7 1/2 months right now since I placed my order.

    Beautiful 4Runner!

I'm trying to convince the fiancee that after we get married and she lands a teaching job that one of those should replace her tC as the family hauler. She likes driving my Tacoma so I've just told her "a 4Runner is basically a Tacoma from the dash forwards, so it will be the same thing..."

Sounds reasonable, right? Beats driving a melted bar-o-soap crossover.

So you did zero research when you decided to get a K&N?

Seriously, every car forum on the internet has been bashing K&N's for the last 5 years. They're junk. You're better off w/ your OEM and you're getting exactly zero performance improvements form that K&N. FYI, your OEM filter is capable of flowing more than enough air for this engine. And that K&N is oiling you MAF and allowing all kinds of debris in your engine. But hey, it sounds cool and makes you 'feel' good, right.

I realized how assholeish my post sounded after I read it. But, it's true. Yes, I was harsh on him but sometimes you just need to give a little tough love. :boink:

And since he's from Colorado, it's my duty to be forward and honest. :crapstorm:

    :D.

Sorry Skiracer. Didn't mean to be mean.

Get that K&N out of there. :)

Guy wants a K&N, he can have a K&N, just because you don't agree doesn't mean you are right... Sure they aren't all that popular around here, but they are available because some people like them.

Yes he can have whatever he wants.

    No, I'm not wrong.

They sell them only due to marketing and misinformation.

I'm guessing you have one too. :boink:
