Its awesome how the tacoma holds it value. We got a hell of a deal on her prerunner dcsb off-road. 28k paid it down to 24k so we were ahead of the game. Dealer gave us 29k for it on trade and busted down the runner to 33k after everything including gap a 7yr bumper to bumper and they owe me tint on the 4 runner since I just put it on the trd.

Ross, looks like it came out well... I went the Plasti-dip route myself. I hope it doesn't start peeling off when it gets wet and you have tape fluttering in the wind. But, like you said...it was quick and did the job:D You can always try the Plasti method later anyways, should the tape fail..

Looks good. I wish I had a 4Runner with my Tacoma as well. Black out that emblem and black wheels would look bad ass! But that's me, I love the all black or "murdered" out look as some would call it.

She's perfect, man! Believe it or not she's very quiet! She only wakes up every 3 hours to eat and I change her diaper then too. There's only been one night so far that she was just up and didn't wanna be put in her bassinet, but 2 hours later she was out. We're pretty lucky to have a baby that's so easy to take care of! Thanks for checkin in on us homie!

I was going to do the plasti dip but haven't had time to buy any. I had the black duct tape in my bag of tricks and said hey????

I cleaned the area real good and scuffed it a bit. The tape went on real good. Not sure if it will come off even in the rain. It took maybe 5 minutes per side then I sat down and went over every inch of that tape with my thumb to make sure it's good and stuck. It wraps underneath and up the backside of the pinch weld too.

If it comes off I will probably paint it with rubberized undercoating.

Yup...I have some material I was about to post but realized it was copyrighted. Based on the Jan/Feb issue of the Automotive Lease Guide, the projected (5 year/75k miles) resale value stats show Tacoma to be #1 (at 50%) of all vehicles. Not too many other vehicles even close. Some Hondas in the 40-45 range; most in the 20s & 30s. FJ Cruiser @ 40%; Highlander @ 39%; 4Runner @ 38%; Honda Ridgeline @ 42%; Nissan Frontier @ 40%

Toyota overall as a brand held the high position.

Picked up a second set of Sport rims for $40.00 buck that were oxidized and flaking pretty bad. Sand blasted and refinished them jet black. Now to black out the emblems and when I build up the nerve I might attempt the BHLM!

Bhlm is pretty straight forward. It was more time waiting for paint to dry then the time to do it.
