    The next round of these will have some minor adjustments to the front area making the deflector come down a bit. I didn't mind the wind noise but I am rolling on MT's and had the OEM rack deployed before this one so I was used to the noise. Those coming from stock to these have noticed some noise.

    Without the deflector I could not go over 20mph without it sounding like someone was banging on my roof. Took a 5 hour road trip to pick up a cap for my truck. it got pretty loud. I am gonna get the toprack from you next. Got a leer 100xr

    I bet I remember when I was experimenting with the steel rack and left on a trip before it had a deflector. I had the same problem and ended up putting in earphones because the noise was so bad. Nice topper. Let me know when you get ready to get a rack for it.

    I really like your rack!!! A couple of my buddies have them, I had a question... Is there a way to mount awnings to them? I have 2 ARb awnings for mine. I have currently the OEM roof Rack and Yakima mega Warrior mounted to that. Its way too loud on the freeway. Im considering yours.

    I am trying to figure out a way currently. I have 1 ARB 6.5' awning. It would be nice if it could bolt directly to the rack, but I think some brackets will need to be made

    I still am waiting for some time to mount my awning to mine. I have been so busy that it hasn't happened. I am just planning on bolting it straight to the side of the rails with the provided backing plates you get with the awning. I will probably have to stick some small spacers on so the awning doesn't hit the bolts for the crossbars but it should be pretty simple. Just need to do it.

    Are those the thule track racks you are using to attach the rack too? I finall got a cap, but ot does not have any tracks on it

    Yeah. Thule on mine. I have also tested it on Yakima which appear to be the same exact tracks. Evenflow did a custom mount job directly to the topper with his rack. Check a few pages back to see pics of his clean install.
