    Hey guys/gals,

    I just had my '08 in the dealer yesterday for the rear leaf TSB. When I dropped it off, they seemed familiar with the TSB and even warned me that the ride would be much more "bumpy" after the new springs were put in. When I picked up the truck and drove it home (I couldn't inspect at the dealer as it was pouring down rain) I noticed the ride wasn't that bumpy. I mean, it was bumpy before and it still is. It is a 4X4 after all. When I got home and took a little peek underneath, there were still 3 springs! They were brand new, as well as the mounting hardware, but still just 3 springs. Any ideas? Have they updated the TSB? Maybe these are just 3 stiffer springs?

    Did you notice if they put the TRD Shocks on? Seems to me they forgot to do the springs. Check the part number on the spings and report back. They should be the 4 leaf pack.

    I have a TRD, so I suppose they didn't put new shocks on. The spring pack is brand new. It was sparkling clean and had a label on it. I will check the part number when I get a chance.

    Someone else might chime in but the TRD Sport gets TRD Off Road shocks in the TSB. I have the TRD Off Road, so my shocks stayed the same, just got the new leaf pack.

    IIRC-The shocks in both the sport and O/R are the same...The coil springs are different.

    OP- I would assume they tried to pull a fast one or don't really know what the TSB is about. Check the part numbers and then go back and demand the proper service.

    I got a brand new set of 3 leaf packs in my 08 the first time I asked for the TSB springs...but before I ever left the lot I pulled the TSB out and checked/showed my service writer what needed to be done....and they did it.

    Nope. The Sport already has TRD shocks and gets only rear springs. Someone else posted recently that they only got new bump stops.

    Well, I need to look at the bump stops. Didn't notice them being new when I first looked, but I will look again when I get a chance. But I am certain, the springs and u-bolts are spankin' new. Just 3 of them though, and the short one appears inverted. Can't recall if it was like this before.

    Ok here's my new part numbers installed when I supposedly got the TSB done. Straight from the service order:

    No notes on new bump stops. What gives?

    Yup-The dealer either didn't know what the TSB REALLY was or they tried to throw something they had in the back room on there and hope he didn't notice. Same thing my dealer did- they didn't know what the TSB really was...so they thought a new regular spring pack would do the trick.

    What I want to know is...

    How did my dealer get the part number for the new U-bolt and install it on the old leaf pack. Does it even fit right?
