Lunch just ended, remoted into my home computer and reread several manuals and re-stacked my last astrophotography session over lunch. Still some background noise but not too shabby I think. Also figured out the color processing instead of just doing it in black and white (my camera takes color pictures, most astrophography cameras take pictures in one color at a time so settings are a bit odd).

We stay home the big holiday weekends; too much traffic and all the good spots reasonably close are too crowded. Wife is working tomorrow. Bear (dog) and I might pack a thermos and some scooby-snacks and go find a dark area a little after midnight here to try and view the meteor shower tonight.

Other than that I need to pull out the mower, change oil/spark plug, sharpen blade, and cut grass for first time this year. And I got a few other chores to tend to; might grill some steaks Sun or Mon.

And get gear ready for this: (posted 40+ a little bit ago) \/\/\/\/

    And x2 MuffinMan, awesome pic!

Thanks! That was 15 four-minute pictures stacked through a small 3" refractor that I took over Christmas when I was down around the outskirts of Phoenix at my Dad's place.

I get to. :( That is my Thurs.

Awesome pictures by the way. Have you been to Great Sand Dunes National park? You can hike/camp on the dunes and the skies are clear and beautiful. It would make for some good pics I'm sure.

I used to love to travel and just be out and away from home but, the older I get the more I like hanging at the house Rob. Really, I almost think I could never leave and be happy.

ME! I'm also doing overtime on Monday night through Tuesday morning.

    What's up Rich?

Same here.....family vacations are more of a pain than fun for me. Dreading a trip to Florida next month with the wife & kids. I'd rather spend the 7 days at home.

Overtime for me tonight....then off for 3 days.

    Hey guys.
My checkup a few days ago didn't go so well. Seems I could not have picked a worse place to break my hip. It's just below the neck on something called the "ring".
The problem being its hard for blood supply to nourish the bone across the break.
So...either waiting for the bone to die or the blood vessels to feed the bone.
Bone dies, I get a full hip replacement. Problem is, is I don't have long term ins. My short term ends on Oct 30th and I'm barely making 60% of my pay. After the 30th, I'm still employed, just no paycheck for another 6 month's.
And the kicker....I can't draw dissability unless I have 15 yrs in. I have 14 yrs, 8 months.
And my time stopped when I went out.

Just praying right now. Mom.wants to come down from Indiana but I don't want her to leave my grandmother who turns 90. So I'm tryin to whoop this thing by myself.
Other than that, life is good. It beats the alternative.
