So ive used plastidip many times but I am currently working on a 1979 Trans Am and the wheels are in pretty good shape. With 5 or 6 coats should the plasti dip cover up the wheels imperfections nicely or no?

Thanks. Looks great! I think I'm going to try dipping all my chrome grey first and see how I like it. Then maybe do the badges green.

Thought is post my freshly dipped badges. I think they make the paint on the truck look much better. Bumper, rims, and door handles will probably be dipped soon as well.

Ya I plati dip them from chrome to black 2 coats, then two coats of exterior green and 1 coat clear exterior enamel. 3m double sided taped em back on. Advice is to use an exacto knife when cutting out the letters. That cut my instal time in half from using a box cutter or utility knife!!

It's going to depend on how bad the imperfections are. A lot of people have found that PD does bring out the imperfections more. It's good to always make sure that you have a flat, even surface to dip on. If someone were to dip over a rust hole that had bubbles in it. Yeah! It might cover the hole(temporary) but the bubbles that are under the dip are going to show through. If the imperfections lift the dip, there's a chance that it may lift other parts of the dip as well.

Alright so i am looking to getting my truck painted but the only color that i can find is black that's in the 14.5 Fluid Ounce i was wondering if some one could give me an idea of where i might be able to get other colors, with out going online. I am in southern California. From that i have seen is that you can't get gallons of this stuff for some reason. I am not looking for spray can's i am looking to thin it and put it in a sprayer. Considering my last truck didn't come out that [Awesome] Because of the can's or complication with the tip.
This is what i will be painting. If any one could help me out that would be awesome!

This was my last truck that i did with the white. There was a whole lot of texture to the paint and i really didn't like it.

I have a guy that say's that he can do any type of color for 500 out the door, but i mean i know i can do it my self with out paying all that.
    Any help? Thanks so much!

Did you use green plastidip? I used flourescent green spray paint on my badges a few years ago and now they're starting to fade. Debating on pulling them off and redoing them or just taking them off completelely.

Word. Didn't know it was in this color. Last time I bought plasti-dip it was only in black, yellow, and red.

Oh yes! The amount of colours that you can do is almost limitless. Check out Dipyourcar.com forum. The colours that people have made, might surprise you. There isn't just the standard yellow, red, black anymore.

Dang! Yeah, last time I saw it they came in 3 colors and dipyourcar.com offered a mixing kit to create a color that you want. But not other colors already made in spray cans or the chameleon stuff. They've come a long way in just over a year.
