The guy who wrote it up missed on a couple tiny details, but overall he's pretty spot on.

So I will have to say that PSA (Palmetto State Armory) consistently has blemished lowers for cheap as I have seen in a long time if you are looking to start a build.

I was skeptical when I heard blemished but after seeing quite a few myself I now know that they are blemished in the sense that the finish may not be up to PSA standards, etc. So if you are building and don't really give a rats ass about if there is a small scratch, etc then they are the cheapest (with good quality) way to start

I envy you guys that live in firearms "friendly" states. I live in Nazi occupied CA and do own an AR, but with "bullet button" and 10 round magazine limit. So if 11 guys are attacking me I better be a great shot and have one of my pistols handy.

It's a shame they won't ship lowers to my state.

I'm gonna grab another lower and want to build a nice one this go around. Guy at work mentioned umbrella corp. However it seems like they don't make lowers anymore. Noone has them in stock anywhere. Anyone know what's up?

Block 19 with 50 round mag. Weighs about 10 lbs so start your forearm excersizes!

I have a bump stock for it that makes it go full auto. Burns the 50 rounds in about 2 seconds, and the barrel glows at the end! Awesome! I'll try to do a video clip next time I shoot with it.

...letting it get that hot, i'd imagine that is causing severe barrel/rifling wear... chrome-lined may help some, but that's got to hard on it...

I have 3 barrels 1 thrasher, 1 carry, and 1S/S target barrel that I almost never use cuz I'm too lazy to change it when I go to the range. Also when I have used the bump stock I shoot un jacketed cuz I have a lot of them and they kinda act as lube. Drawback is its a bear getting the lead residue out of the barrel.

What is the general consensus on Rock River AR's? I purchased one a while ago(Operator Elite) and have been having fun with it at the range. I'm thinking of getting another upper for it so I have it once this one is shot out. Any thoughts? This would be for a range rifle(out to 250m).

    Cheers, James

I don't have any personal experience with RRA but I've heard good things.
Shot out? How many rounds do you put down range a year?

If you have the itch build something you could build a new upper with a 18"-20" barrel with 1-7 or 1-8 twist, melonited barrel (Not chrome lined) and a 223 Wylde chamber. Find the right ammo for it and it'll be plenty accurate out to 250M.

    New or used?
New you can get an M&P15 for ~$900, the only thing I'd change is the stock (I'd go with a magpul for ~$30)
    http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/...+M&P15OR+Optics+Ready+30+1+223REM5.56NATO+16"

A nikon scope would be ~250-400 depending on model.
(I like the specs of this model) http://www.nikonsportoptics.com/en/nikon-products/riflescopes/m-223-2-8x32-bdc-600---------.html

    and scope mounts ~80
